Willendorf

Using a naive approach to modernist composition and improvisation practices,
we struggle toward the freedom of the neolithic mindset. We use broken eastern
scales and primordial electronics to create a kind of self-conscious, digitally
enhanced primitivism.

Our point of departure is the idea of "ancient Europe" and how that exists in the
popular unconscious. Drawing from the pop-mythology of an ancient goddess
worshiping civilization destroyed by invaders from the East, to the recurring
reactionary idea of 'the death of the West,' we ask what it means to 're-wild'
Western consciousness.
